The Call of Prophet Nuh (A.S.)

Prophet Nuh (A.S.) was sent to a people who had gradually turned away from worshipping Allah alone. They had begun to worship idols named Wadd, Suwa’, Yaghuth, Ya’uq, and Nasr — names of righteous men from their past whom they had started idolizing. Nuh (A.S.) called them back to Tawheed (monotheism), saying:

“O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous Day.”
(Qur’an 7:59)

Despite his sincere reminders, his people turned away. Some mocked him, others ignored him, and many accused him of being mad. But Nuh (A.S.) did not stop. He invited them day and night, in private and public, for centuries.

“My Lord, indeed I invited my people night and day. But my invitation increased them not except in flight.”
(Qur’an 71:5–6)

💧 The Flood — A Test of Faith

Story of Prophet Nuh (A.S.) — The Ark of Patience- After centuries of rejection, Allah revealed to Nuh (A.S.) that no more of his people would believe, and that He would send a flood to cleanse the earth of corruption. Allah commanded him:

“Build the Ark under Our eyes and Our inspiration.”
(Qur’an 11:37)

With complete obedience, Prophet Nuh began to build the ark on dry land. His people laughed at him, saying,
“Have you become a carpenter now, O Nuh? You build a ship in the desert?”
He calmly replied,
“If you mock us today, we will soon mock you as you mocked us.”

When the time came, Allah’s command was fulfilled. The sky poured torrents of rain, and water gushed from the earth. The flood began — a divine sign that justice had arrived.

“We opened the gates of the heaven with pouring water, and caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined.”
(Qur’an 54:11–12)

🕊 Boarding the Ark – Story of Prophet Nuh (A.S.) — The Ark of Patience

Prophet Nuh (A.S.) gathered the believers — only a small group, said to be around seventy or eighty people — along with pairs of every animal. Allah’s mercy was upon them as they boarded the ark while the waves rose like mountains.

Even one of his own sons, who had refused to believe, stood apart, saying he would climb a mountain to save himself. Prophet Nuh pleaded,

“O my son, come aboard with us and be not with the disbelievers.”
But his son refused, and Allah’s decree was fulfilled — he drowned with the others.

This moment was not just a test of patience but of trust in Allah’s wisdom. Prophet Nuh’s heart ached as he watched, yet he submitted fully to his Lord.

🌈 The Mercy of Allah

After the flood subsided, the ark came to rest upon Mount Judi. The believers stepped onto dry land — cleansed, renewed, and ready to begin a new chapter for humanity.

Allah said:

“O Nuh, disembark in peace from Us and blessings upon you and upon nations [descending] from those with you.”
(Qur’an 11:48)

This was the beginning of a new civilization, founded upon faith and obedience to Allah.
